Each paste is hand set in a cup with the whole button
backed by vermiel silver, has a thick loop shank.

This is a really beautiful honeycombed paste button!
The glass pastes in this button are unusual because
the radiant color comes from within the glass itself
and not from the back, which was typical of the 19th - 20th c.
Each paste is set in an open back cup with claw settings,
all linked together with a heavy loop wire shank attached.
