Finely detailed "mother & daughter" cuff and breast buttons
of a lion's head "rampant", wearing a crown around it's neck
rising out of the wreath of colors.
Diamond shape Hallmarked silver, "F. F. & M." "IVNESS"
Fraser Ferguson & MacBean, Inverness.
Scotland, c. 1910.
They have sturdy silver loop shanks.
5/8" X 7/8" and 13/16" X 1 1/4" Diameters.

Crest Button
*Silvestro Cardinal Belle Crest*

A finely detailed crest button of lion
behind a shield under a cardinal's hat with tassels
hanging from a cord on either side of the shield.
The left hand side of the shield has a tree between
three stars which are common Belli arms.
The other side would appear to have a bird on a rose
at the top and two roses at the bottom.

It has been identified as belonging to Silvestro Cardinal Belle,
created cardinal in petto in 1839 and proclaimed
as Cardinal Priest of S. Balbina 1841. Died 1844.

Gilt over a metal sheet folded over a metal base with a loop shank.
Some of the gilt is worn in places.
Very interesting construction!

An emblazoned banner in Latin overhead:

This is a crest of the Sharp family.
2-piece gilt with sturdy loop shanks.
Backmark:
"Jennens & Co, LONDON"
